Location permission
The obvious questions.
- Does it cost anything?
- No payment is taken to join, and there is no checkout. Paid plans are not on sale. We’ll confirm terms before anything is sold.
- Can I download it from the App Store?
- Not yet. The app is not listed, so the invitation email explains how to install it on your iPhone.
- Is there an Android app?
- No. The field app is iPhone only for now.
- When will my invitation come?
- We can’t give a date. The private beta is starting in Edmonton, Alberta, and invitations go out from there.
- Do I have to be in Edmonton?
- Anyone can join the list. The beta starts in Edmonton, and the neighborhood scouting directory covers Edmonton today.
- What do you do with my email?
- It is saved for the private beta and nothing else. The privacy page has the detail.
- Do I need a website?
- Not to track a walk. To connect scans to bookings you need a site where you can add a script, directly or through Google Tag Manager.
- Does the screen have to stay on?
- No. Tracking runs with the screen off once you start a shift, and it stops when the shift ends. It needs location permission in the background.
- Can my crew join too?
- Yes. Once you’re in, you invite them with a code and give each person a role.
